Lennard Grohn is a German photographic artist whose work moves between melancholy and a quiet celebration of life.

He received his first analogue camera at the age of twelve.
After finishing school, he studied photography at the University of Fine Arts in Mainz, Germany, from which he graduated. This time was essential in shaping his approach to photography through light, drawing and composition.

After the early loss of his father, Grohn increasingly turned to black and white photography as a personal form of expression. His work explores memory, intimacy and transformation, often drawing from childhood, imagination and the gradual decay of the illusion of a perfect world. Through a systematic, reduced visual language, he seeks to create timeless images rooted in personal experience rather than external narratives.

Grohn's work is characterised by a minimalist approach and a deep artistic sensibility, ranging from intimate portraits to poetic landscapes. His images often exist in a space between presence and absence, silence and emotional intensity.

In addition to photography, Grohn has a background in music. He has played drums and percussion since childhood and toured for many years with bands and his own ensemble, together with a master drummer from Senegal, never losing his passion for photography along the way. During the pandemic, photography became central again as a form of personal expression and reflection. Some viewers note that a sense of rhythm and musicality can be felt within his photographic work.‍ ‍
